Abstract
Posttraumatic cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage frequently complicates skull base fractures. While most CSF leaks will cease with conservative management, patients with persistent CSF leaks may be at increased risk for meningitis, and many will require surgical intervention. The early recognition and localization of the CSF leakage is one of the most important part in managing patients with skull base fracture. We report on our experience of successfully treating a patient with persistent CSF leakage despite of long term conservative management.
